    About Maryland Breast Reduction
Women with an oversized or pendulous breasts may have an array of medical problems, such as back and neck discomfort, skin inflammation, spine and skeleton problems, painful irritation from bra straps, and even respiratory problems.

Breast reduction is a surgery that has been specially formulated for women with this problem. The surgery excises fat, glandular tissue, and skin from the breast area, making the resulting breasts smaller and firmer. The procedure can also shrink the areola, the darkened area of skin that surrounds the nipple. The procedure's ultimate goal is to grant the patient more pleasingly shaped breasts that are proportionate to the rest of the body.

Dr. Chiaramonte encourages you to request a free consultation if you are considering Maryland breast reduction so that you can learn more about this procedure and receive a professional opinion about your cosmetic needs.

    Your New Look
Although much of the swelling and discoloration will be relieved during the first few weeks, full healing may take six months to a year. Your breasts' new form may change in accordance with hormonal shifts, weight changes, and childbearing.

Dr. Chiaramonte will apply all his skill to making your scars as unnoticeable as possible. Still, it is vital to keep in mind that the procedural scars are there forever. They often stay bumpy and red for months, eventually weakening to white lines.

Of all the cosmetic surgeries Maryland and Northern Virginia women choose to undergo, breast reduction has the unique effect of the quickest change of body image. The physical discomfort of oversized breasts will disappear, your body's proportions will improve, and new fashions will hang more easily.
