While growing up in Shawnee, Oklahoma with his 2 brothers and sister, he focused on tennis as a high school athlete before deciding to pursue on a career in medicine. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma with distinction in three years, and proceeded to graduate from the Oklahoma University School of Medicine, where he was named member of Alpha Omega Alpha, an honorary academic society, and received the Merck Distinguished Student Award. During his training in Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Virginia, Dr. Jones developed a special interest in facial cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. He completed an additional three years of specialty training, residency and fellowship, in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of Pittsburgh.
As a result of his unique dual board certification in both Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and Otolaryngology (ENT), Dr. Jones was recruited to Washington University School of Medicine where he served as an Assistant Professor of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery for seven years.
